EL PASO, TX (CelebrityAccess) – El Paso, TX, is set to become a prime touring destination by introducing the Sunset Amphitheater, a world-class $80 million open-air venue by Notes Live. The project, approved through a $30.9 million performance-based incentive agreement with the City of El Paso, marks a significant collaboration between the private sector and local authorities.

Situated in the Cohen Entertainment District in Northeast El Paso, adjacent to the Franklin Mountains, the Sunset Amphitheater promises unparalleled sunset views over the mountains and the nearby Castner Range National Monument. Boasting top-tier audio-visual capabilities and premium hospitality, the venue aims to attract major national and international acts.

Inspired by Notes Live’s upcoming amphitheater in Colorado Springs, the Sunset Amphitheater will sprawl across approximately 15 acres of prime land. It will feature luxury fire pit suites, various seating options, and a landscaped grass berm for optimal comfort. A custom-built Owner’s Club will also offer an exclusive view of the stage and premium entertainment experiences.

El Paso’s vibrant arts, recreation, and tourism scene and proximity to Northern Mexico make it an ideal location for Notes Live’s expansion. The city draws millions of tourists annually with its rich history and diverse cultural offerings.

Notably, the Sunset Amphitheater aims to cater to the El Paso population and communities across the border in Mexico, reflecting the region’s binational demographics. The El Paso metropolitan area combines El Paso, Las Cruces, NM and Ciudad Juarez, the largest city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is referred to as Paso del Norte. At 2.7 million people, the region has the largest bilingual and binational workforce in the Western Hemisphere.

“I couldn’t be more excited to build an amphitheater in such a vibrant, multicultural city as El Paso,” says JW Roth, Founder and CEO of Notes Live. “The Sunset is going to bring the biggest acts from both the US and Mexican markets to its stage, and it will do so with comfort, style, and flair beyond imagination!”

“This project marks a significant milestone in our city’s evolution. This partnership between Notes Live and our community showcases our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, advancing our region’s economy, and solidifying our position as a premier destination for top-tier entertainment,” said El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser. “This iconic venue will attract renowned artists and provide an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts from across the region. We’re proud to play a role in shaping the future of El Paso music venues and look forward to the Sunset Amphitheater becoming an integral part of our vibrant arts and tourism scene.”

The Sunset Amphitheater development will be a pivotal project for the El Paso community, supporting over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs and potentially generating a $5.4 billion impact for the El Paso community. Construction of the Sunset Amphitheater is slated to commence in late 2024, with plans to unveil the venue in early 2026, coinciding with the concert touring season. Notes Live, known for its rapid expansion in music and entertainment complexes across various markets, is set to solidify its presence in El Paso’s cultural scene with the Sunset Amphitheater.
