PHILADELPHIA (CelebrityAccess) — A judge has ordered disgraced comedian Bill Cosby to be confined to his Philadelphia home under house arrest until he is sentenced following his conviction on sexual assault charges on Thursday.

According to ABC News, the order, issued Friday, by Judge Steven O’Neill, also requires that Cosby wear a GPS monitoring device for the duration.

Cosby is permitted to leave his house in order to meet with his attornies, or to receive medical care, but must obtain permission before doing so, ABC News reported.

Cosby remains free on $1 million bail after he was convicted on Thursday on charges that he drugged and molested a woman in 2004. Cosby faces potential statutory sentences of up to ten years per charge.

In other fallout for Cosby, his alma mater announced that it has revoked an honorary degree conferred on Cosby more than 20 years ago.

Philadelphia’s Temple University on Friday said its board of trustees had accepted a recommendation to rescind the degree, which had been awarded in 1991.

Cosby received a bachelor’s degree from Temple and played an active role in fundraising for the school. Andrea Constandt, the woman he was convicted of molesting, was an employee of the university.
