(CelebrityAccess) – L.A. Reid and Charles Goldstruck’s Hitco Entertainment have joined forces with Pilgrim Media Group on new music-related TV programming.

Hitco, which launched earlier this year, is a record label and publishing company whose current client roster includes, Big Boi, Coca Vango and Dinah Jane, among others, while Pilgrim is known for its work on programs like Ghost Hunters, American Chopper, and The Ultimate Fighter.

Commenting on the new partnership, Reid and Goldstuck said in a joint statement: “Given their diverse portfolio of programming and Craig’s unparalleled experience as an industry pioneer, we’re looking forward to the launch of our television business, which we see as a continuation of our many years of experience developing and producing cross-platform content.”

At the moment it looks like the deal will include a limited documentary series about the rise of Atlanta’s rap and R&B scenes, as well as a music competition series titled, Take the Lead.

Reid, who co-founded the Atlanta-based label LaFace in 1989 and signed a number of influential acts including OutKast and TLC, was most recently the head of Epic Records, however, was forced to step down in 2017 following claims of “unlawful harassment” by a female co-worker. His previous film & television credits include the Justin Bieber documentary Never Say Never and Michael Jackson doc Bad 25, among other things.

Goldstruck previously served as executive chairman of TouchTunes Interactive Networks and was also president and COO of BMG.
