LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – Music streaming service Deezer has appointed Nigel Harding as its new VP of Artist Marketing.
In this new role, Harding will lead Deezer’s Artist Marketing team to develop special campaigns and projects, including the annual Deezer NEXT program for emerging artists.
Commenting on the streaming service’s latest addition, Alexander Holland, Deezer’s Chief Content and Product Officer said: “Helping talented artists reach new and bigger audiences is one of the most rewarding things we can do as a streaming service. I look forward to working closely with Nigel to build on the wide range of creative marketing activations we’ve done with artists so far and to continue building Deezer’s standing with artists all over the world.”
Harding joins Deezer from Sony’s Nothing Else Matters Records, where he held the position of Co-Director and was focused on label management and A&R for their dance music roster. His previous industry experience includes working in artist promotion and national radio programming, as well as in playlisting strategy for Apple Music. Harding also spent over nine years at the BBC, where he supervised Radio 1’s mainstream music output and booked acts for Live Lounge and Big Weekend.
