Americans With Disabilities Act Regulations To Impact Online Ticketing

WASHINGTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — On March 15th, new changes to Americans With Disabilities Act regulations will take effect, including revised requirements for venues and ticketing companies with online sales systems.

After March 15th, ticketing companies and venues will be required to ensure that individuals with disabilities have an equal opportunity to purchase tickets for accessible seating during all stages of the ticket sales process, including presale and promotions.

Companies will also be required to 'identify and describe' the features of available seating as well as be able to provide brochures, pricing charts and other information regarding accessible seating.

Furthermore, tickets for accessible seating must be made available at all price levels for every event or series of events. Wheelchair tickets also come with a stipulation that up to three adjacent seats must be made available for purchase as well.
