HOUSTON (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation has settled nine of the ten wrongful death lawsuits they were facing following the deadly crowd surge at the Astroworld Music Festival in 2021, including a suit that was slated to begin this week, the Associated Press reported.

Neal Manne, an attorney for Live Nation, said during a legal proceeding on Wednesday that only one of the ten wrongful death suits was outstanding with nine other suits having been settled, according to the Associated Press.

Terms of the settlements were confidential and attorneys declined to comment to the AP following the hearing, citing an outstanding gag order.

Manne noted that more than 4,000 plaintiffs filed hundreds of suits following the tragic 2021 incident, with approximately 2,400 cases still outstanding.

The suits stem from the 2021 edition of Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival at Houston’s NRG Stadium during which a crowd surge on the opening day of the festival left 10 people dead, including a nine-year-old child, and left hundreds with injuries.

Last year, a Texas grand jury declined to indict Scott, along with five others with criminal negligence in connection to the deaths and injuries at the festival.
