LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — On Wednesday, organizers for the annual South By Southwest conference for music and film, announced plans to expand across the Atlantic next year with SXSW London.
According to event organizers, the London expansion will develop its own personality, based on the city’s established cultural life and proximity to Europe’s creative and tech centers.
The event will take place in June 2025 and SXSW London will take over dozens of venues, galleries, clubs, and other spaces in Shoreditch, from programming across music, technology, and entertainment.
Founded in Austin in 1987, SXSW has grown to become a cultural touchstone for the music, entertainment and tech worlds. The SXSW expanded into the South Pacific with the launch of the brand in Sydney in 2023.
Additional details about the London event, including a programming lineup, will be announced in the coming months, organizers said.
