Atlanta Promoter Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges

ATLANTA, GA (CelebrityAccess) — An Atlanta man and co-owner of a promotions company that presented concerts and EDM events pleaded guilty in federal court to a conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

According to acting U.S. Attorney General Robert Posey of Birmingham, Alabama 40-year-old Woodie Louis Ochle plea guilty to two counts of conspiracy to distribute MDMA, AKA Molly or Ecstasy in Jefferson and Shelby counties between February 2015 and April 2016, and to one count of possessing with intent to distribute the drug on April 13, 2016, in Jefferson County.

According to prosecutors, Ochle allegedly used his promotion company Freakstep Promotions to set up music events that served as points of sale for his illicit enterprise.

The Shelby County Reporter in January reported that Ochle was arrested after he allegedly struck a deal with a confidential police informant to sell 4,000 Ecstasy pills for $20,000.

Florida television news station Ochle had previously been arrested by authorities in Panama City Beach, Florida on charges of possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, trafficking in Ecstasy and trafficking in methamphetamine during spring break. – Staff Writers
