Christina Bellows has been promoted from manager of ticket services to interim director at the Whiting in Flint, MI. She replaces Bryan Rives, who will become chief operating officer of the Michigan Opera Theatre and Detroit Opera House in January.
"It's definitely something I'm considering," Bellows told the Flint Journal about being in contention for a permanent position.. "There's so much I have to learn, like dealing with (talent) agents. That might influence my decision, but it seems exciting. It's something I had felt was lacking in other positions. I couldn't make as much impact on the community as I wanted to.
