CAA & WMA Opening Music Departments In London? Mike Greek & Emma Banks Jumping Ship?

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – We have heard from reliable sources that both CAA and the William Morris Agency are opening London based music divisions.

Rumor has it that CAA is opening a London office and have hired, or are in completion talks, with Mike Greek and Emma Banks, both based out of London’s Helter Skelter office, to head it. Helter Skelter is an agency owned by the troubled Sanctuary Artist Management company, a business that has experienced many financial problems of late.

We were also informed that both Peter Grosslight and Marc Geiger, of WMA, contacted and/or flew over to meet with Greek and Banks to ask them to run their newly formed London music division. According to our sources, Greek and Banks decided to go with CAA.

After that purportedly failed attempt, WMA may be in the process of hiring (or have hired) Ed Bicknell, former Dire Straits manager, to head the London division and may be looking to hire three or four more agents for that office.

As of our publishing deadline, neither Greek, Banks, Grosslight nor Geiger returned calls or emails regarding our inquiries on this topic.

Of the many managers we’ve contacted, all who responded said they are still contacting Greek and Banks through Helter Skelter.

Stay tuned for further developments. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
