NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Following the August 18th release of his solo album, Eric Clapton has announced an initial set of dates for his 2011 tour.
The tour will encompass Ireland and the U.K. including four nights at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall. Additional touring dates in Europe, Asia and the U.S. have yet to be released.
Clapton's latest album features sessions with guests including Steve Winwood, Wynton Marsalis, Sheryl Crow, Allen Toussaint, and Derek Trucks.
The album is a collection of sounds ranging from century-old traditional brass bands to little-known country blues to brand-new originals.
Clapton's band for the 2011 tour will consist of long-time touring partners: Steve Gadd (drums), Willie Weeks (bass), Chris Stainton (keyboards) along with Michelle John and Sharon White as backing vocalists.
