PHUKET, Thailand (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Australian promoter Michael Chugg was in Phuket recently to drop off a check for 5,239,220 bhat (146,551 American) to the Phuket Has Been Good To Us foundation, the Phuket Post reported.
The aid is being given to help teach Thai children in learning English. The money came from the sales of the DVD of Wave Aid, a concert held in January 2005 in the wake of the Tsunami that devestated the Indian Ocean rim in December, 2004, killing over 230,000 people.
The foundation is run by volunteers and headed up by Kate Cope. It is currently undergoing testing at Baan Kalim School. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
