CANANDAIGUA, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center will be getting a $10 million upgrade over the next year, according to local TV station WOKR.
The venue is planning on doubling the number of covered seats from 2,500 to 5,000 while maintaining the current 10,000 seats available on the lawn. The money will also go toward an expanded stage and a state of the art sound and video system.
Organizers hope that the improvements will attract big name performers and sell-out crowds, something the Finger Lakes PAC has been sorely missing in the last few years. The stage expansion will also allow for a variety of different shows including musical theatre, dance ballet and children’s activities. — by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
