Fishof Develops Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp Into Year-Round Business

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — David Fishof's sixth Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp will take place in New York on August 13-17 and feature (in alphabetical order) Jon Anderson (Yes), Levon Helm (The Band), Dr. John, Joe Satriani, Dee Snider, George Thorogood and Max Weinberg (E Street Band). The campers will jam at Gibson's Hit Factory studios and perform in front of an audience in a battle of the bands at New York's BB King Blues Club & Grill.

The 5th Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, which wrapped in February with a blow out bash at Los Angeles' House of Blues, featured Roger Daltrey, Cheap Trick and a surprise guest drop in from Joaquin Phoenix. Dickey Betts, Mickey Hart, Neal Schon, Elliot Easton Mickey Thomas jammed with the campers.

Campers will get daily instruction from Teddy Andreadis (Guns 'n Roses/Alice Cooper), Gary Burr (Carole King), Fred Coury Cinderella), Spencer Davis (Spencer Davis Group), Sandy Gennarro (The Monkees/Joan Jett/Cyndi Lauper), Barry Goudreau (Boston), Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger), Simon Kirke (Bad Company), Bruce Kulick (Kiss), Michael Lardie (Great White), Jerry Renino (The Monkees), Mark Slaughter (Slaughter) and Kip Winger (Winger) in jamming and instruction.

Fishof, who is no longer producing the Ringo Starr and his All-Starr band, told CelebrityAccess: "I've gone full time into the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp business, and have a Rock Camp TV show on TLC and decided that I needed a career change from the road. I'm the luckiest guy in the world to have been able to work for Ringo. I've turned the camp into a 12-months-a-year business. The camp is fulfilling my dreams of giving people back so many amazing experiences that I received from working with these amazing people." –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
