LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — The "King of Country Music," George Strait, will be the first act to play at the brand new Las Vegas Arena when it opens its doors in April.
Strait is booked to perform four nights at the new venue, with shows planned for April 22nd, & April 23rd, and Sept. 9th and Sept. 10th, 2016.
The $350 million, 20,000 seat indoor arena, currently under construction at on the Las Vegas Strip, will be run by the Las Vegas Arena Company, a joint venture between MGM Resorts and AEG Live.
Strait, who already has more than 60 No. 1 singles under his belt, will be supporting his forthcoming album "Cold Beer Conversation" which is due on Sept 25th.
Country artist Kacey Musgraves will open for Strait on all four dates. Musgraves recently released her own album, her second studio effort "Pageant Material." – Staff Writers
