LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — International Live Music Conference (ILMC) organizers announced they are partnering with key industry associations and operators to launch new summit conferences aimed at the festival and venue markets.
Both of the new summit conferences will feature a day of dedicated panels and other elements and take place within the framework of the main ILMC event, which takes place next year from from 8-10 March 2017.
In association with European festival association Yourope, the Festival Summit 2017 will take place on Wednesday 8 March. Discussion topics will include the rise of new festival concepts, VIP offerings, new financial models for festivals, streaming and broadcast rights, and the role of festivals as an A&R source.
The following day, on Thursday 9 March, the Venues Summit 2017 will include discussions on developments in the arena and stadia sector, venues as content creators, action to protect the grassroots scene, and safety and security following the Bataclan attack in 2015. The agenda has been built in conversation with the National Arenas Association, the European Arenas Association, Music Venue Trust and other associations.
“The two new Summits will provide a new, crystal clear focus on these dynamic areas of the business,” says ILMC head Greg Parmley. “With two new conference programmes, a shift to a mid week format and more live music than ever, we’re counting the days to March.”
