LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Kendrick Lamar reached a milestone on Spotify this week after his new album, "To Pimp a Butterfly" was streamed more than 9.6 million times on its first day.
Lamar broke the record for single-day streaming for an album, handily beating the previous record holder Drake.
Lamar surprised his fans by releasing the album, his third and the followup to the hugely successful "good kid, m.A.A.d city," one week early on both iTunes and Spotify.
"Kendrick put his album out early," Taylor Swift tweeted. "No one touch me." – Staff Writers
