LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has signed on for a partnership with EDM promoter Insomniac Events, the company behind the successful Electric Daisy Carnival events
In a post on Insomniac's website, the company's Insomniac Chief Executive Pasquale Rotella said they had enterted into a creative partnership with Live Nation. According to Pasquale, Insomniac will remain a stand-alone company and would retain creative control over the events they produce.
Rotella went on to note that partnership with Live Nation would allow the company access to a wider and more diverse selection of venues and access to resources that would help Insomniac produce stronger events. Additionally, Rotella said that the tie-up with Live Nation would not require that Insomniac use Ticketmaster for events they produce.
As previously reported in CelebrityAccess, Live Nation reportedly acquired about 50% of Insomniac in May.
