(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Lollapalooza will once again hold residence in Chicago’s Grant Park this summer, featuring as many as 130 bands on eight stages over three days.
Organizers Capitol Sports & Entertainment confirmed that the former touring festival will grow by a full day this summer, and will be held August 4-6. Artist line up and ticket information isn’t expected to be announced for about a month.
Last year’s two-day festival attracted more than 30,000 per day, despite a massive heatwave. It was the first stationary event in the festival’s history, which dates back to 1991.
Organizers say they expect as many as 225,000 fans to attend this year’s event. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
