Oops, I Did It…For The First Time

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Well, the Queen of Pop has made history again.

Britney Spears has just become the second artist in the Billboard Hot 100's 52-year history to debut multiple songs at #1 with "Hold It Against Me" hitting the top spot this week.

The Dr.Luke/ Max Martin-produced song, the lead single from the singer's yet-untitled March album, sold 411,000 downloads in its first week available for purchase according to MTV.

According to Billboard, that is Spears' best sales week for a digital song as well as the largest debut for a woman as a lead artist. She beat out the record previously held by Taylor Swift. In February, Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale" sold 325,000 downloads; incidentally, Swift broke the record previously held by Spears when that track debuted at the top of the charts.
