Is there room for one more in the stream?
The founders and tech geniuses behind Kazaa and Skype are work on their own entry into the crowded streaming and subscription music sector. Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis have created and financed a secretive start-up called Rdio, with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Chief Executive Officer Drew Larner told Bloomberg only, “The idea is to create a subscription streaming service that’s between desktop and mobile. For someone who’s interested on a subscription basis, the notion of ownership becomes less important than the idea of streaming on-demand.”
