SFX Acquires Brazilian Promoter/Agency Plus Talent

SAO PAULO, Brazil (CelebrityAccess) — Robert Sillerman's SFX Entertainment has announced that they have acquired Brazilian talent agency and promoter Plus Talent.

Plus Talent, founded 20 years ago by Luiz Eurico Klotz, Edo Van Duyn and Silvio Conchon, is focused on the EDM market in Brazil, and represents DJs and producers, books talent, and produces events and tours across the South American country. Included in Plus Talent's promotion portfolio is the Tomorrowland Brazil festival, along with other franchises, such as Armin Only, I Am Hardwell and the XXXperience Festival.

"We knew from other events that Brazilian fans travel internationally to see our shows, so the incredibly fast sell-out confirms the power of electronic music in Brazil," said Robert F.X. Sillerman, Chairman and CEO of SFX Entertainment. "Plus Talent is an extremely talented and creative company, with the deepest experience in the Brazilian market. Edo, Luiz and Silvio understand every aspect of the business and we are delighted to have them in the SFX family of companies."

The deal is the second major move in Brazil, a major global market for live music and follows on last year's announcement of the acquisition of a stake in Rock in Rio, producers of the eponymously named festival.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

SXF also revealed that Brazilian beer Skol will be the headlining sponsor for Tomorrowland Brazil. The deal is an extension of SFX Entertainment's existing partnership with beverage giant AB InBev. AB InBev's Skol has previously been the five-year sponsor of SFX's Sensation event in Brazil. – Staff Writers
