Ticketmaster Upbeat With Lifebeat For AIDS

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — On World AIDS Day, December 1, Ticketmaster will donate a portion of every ticket sold in the United States to fight HIV/AIDS. Proceeds will benefit Lifebeat, the music industry's HIV/AIDS prevention charity in America.

"We are committed to standing alongside Lifebeat on World AIDS Day and helping educate people about prevention of this deadly disease," said Nathan Hubbard, CEO of Ticketing, Live Nation Entertainment.

"We have a long running partnership with Lifebeat and are proud to once again offer our help and the power of live entertainment to combat a disease that affects millions," continued Hubbard according to the press release.

"Every nine and a half minutes another person in the US is infected with HIV, a completely preventable disease," said Ben Wymer, Interim Executive Director of Lifebeat. "Education is essential to prevention and we are grateful for the support Ticketmaster has given Lifebeat for nearly 18 years."

Live entertainment fans are encouraged to purchase tickets from Ticketmaster, order by phone 1-800-745-3000, retail outlets, or through Live Nation beginning at 12:01 a.m. PST on December 1st, World AIDS Day, when a portion of every ticket sold will benefit Lifebeat.
