Udo Music Joins Japanese Rock Fests

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Japanese concert promoter Udo Artists Inc. has announced the innovative Udo Music Festival 2006, which will run simultaneously at two locations on July 22nd and 23rd at Fuji Speedway in Oyama, Shizuoka Prefecture and at Izumiotsu Phoenix in Izumiotsu, Osaka Prefecture.

Previously called The Rock Odyssey, the festival joins the crowded Japanese summer concert season, but boasts a top of the line selection of classic and modern rock acts at each location.

Santana, Jeff Beck and the Doobie Brothers, along with newcomers Teddy Thompson and Rhett Miller, will play on the 22nd at the Fuji Speedway and the 23rd at the Izumiotsu Phoenix. Kiss, Audioslave and Godsmack will headline the Izumiotsu Phoenix on the 22nd, then switch to the Speedway for the 23rd.

Festival-goers at the Fuji Speedway location can visit the venue’s rock museum, which includes rare items like legendary guitars, posters, tee shirts and concert tickets. A flea market will also be held there. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
