ALBERTA, Canada (CelebrityAccess) — Fleetwood Mac rescheduled a pair of shows in Alberta over the weekend after the band’s lead singer Stevie Nicks came down with voice trouble.
News of the canceled events came just hours before the curtain was due to go up on Saturday due to “a band member illness”.
Neil Finn, who joined the band this year following Lindsey Buckingham’s exit, elaborated on the cancellation, writing:
“So sorry we couldn’t play for you tonight Edmonton but we had to protect that wondrous force of nature that is Stevies voice. We’ll be back in April better than ever.”
Affected shows include Nov. 10th at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta and Monday’s show at the Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta.
Both shows have already been rescheduled and Fleetwood Mac will now perform in Edmonton on April 13th and Calgary on April 15th.
Fleetwood Mac’s next scheduled performance is set for Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Nov. 14th.
