HOUSTON (CelebrityAccess) The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo got yet another record crowd, just days after announcing ones for Cardi B and Los Tigres Del Norte, with George Strait taking away the top prize.
Strait played at RodeoHouston with Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen March 17 at NRG Stadium near Dallas with 80,108 attendees, according to a press release. Strait held the previou7s record with 80,020 fans at a 2013 concert with Martina McBride and Randy Rogers Band in 2013.
Additional seats were available on the floor because there was no rodeo portion for the day, according to the Houston Business Journal. Strait has performed 30 times at RodeoHouston.
The all-time paid attendance record has been broken twice so far at the rodeo – first with Cardi B on March 1 and then with Los Tigres Del Norte on Go Tejano Day. F
Full attendance on Sunday was 146,331.
