SACRAMENTO (CelebrityAccess) A drone dropped flyers with swastikas on them and the message “The press is the enemy” outside the Golden 1 Center during an Ariana Grande concert in Sacramento May 3.

Flyers were also dropped at the annual “Bites on the Bridge” outdoor event near the campus of California State University, Sacramento, according to a local CBS affiliate.

The Sacramento Bee reported that some of the leaflets included an apparent copyright claim under the name Tracy Mapes, who was reportedly arrested in 2017 for using a drone to spread anti-media literature at two NFL games.

While some flyers used swastikas, others had a red “x” and a mention of the Red ‘X’ Society. They claimed that “prostitutes and felons” have infiltrated newsrooms and local politics for more than 20 years, possibly through the CIA, FBI and DEA. Some deemed the flyers “Nazi propaganda” and hate speech.

“Sacramento State condemns in the strongest terms the dissemination of hate speech and propaganda Friday evening at our annual fundraising dinner on the Guy West Bridge,” CSUS President Robert Nelsen said. “The anonymous act of spreading such vile material is offensive and runs counter to the principles of inclusion and diversity practiced at Sac State. It did not stop the event, nor will it slow our march toward greater understanding and commitment to the rights and safety of our campus community.”
