LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Movie producer and philanthropist Steve Bing, who inherited $600 million from a family business at the age of 18, was only worth a reported $300,000 when he died earlier this year.
According to a report in Town & Country, Bing’s estate only included liquid assets of $300,000 at the time of his death in June.
Bing wanted to bequeath the remains of his fortune to the Clinton Foundation, but his estate had to settle several outstanding financial debts after he died, Town & Country reported.
Bing, who helped to finance films such as he Polar Express and Beowulf, was found dead at the base of his luxury apartment in Los Angeles on June 22nd. His death was ruled a suicide.
Following his death, a source told people that Bing had been struggling with mental health issues, including a long battle with depression.
