NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Matt Voss and John Paveley, veteran executives in the music industry, have officially launched Track 88 Management, a venture that marks a significant step in their careers.
Voss, a former Universal Music Group International exec and Island Def Jam Republic International Executive Vice President (EVP), brings a wealth of experience in music public relations and management, including responsibilities for iconic acts like Kanye West and The Smashing Pumpkins.
Paveley, a former Virgin marketeer and creative agency director of JJStereo/Eager Productions, has an extensive background in various senior roles at Virgin Records and a successful stint at Caroline Records.
The duo, who had collaborated on multiple campaigns, including a Grammy-nominated Rihanna campaign, decided to embark on this new journey during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Track 88 Management comes to life with a vision to provide a platform for emerging artists. Eager Productions will continue as a content creative agency with the management company.
Voss emphasized the need for a bold and well-prepared approach in the music industry, stating, “There is no place to hide if you are unprepared. You can’t do a soft release to test the market; if it doesn’t work, I hope no one notices. Quite the opposite, you want people in every part of the world to notice.”
Paveley added, “Track 88 is always the company we promised ourselves. We have two artists we have been developing over the last three or four years, and we now believe they are ready to have their work unveiled.”
Track 88 Management represents hard rock band Torus, signed to MNRK Music, and Lo Lauren, a singer-songwriter from Kent. Torus, set to release a debut album this summer, has been on a UK tour this month. Lo Lauren, co-managed by Track 88 and Joel Reyes at Moko Management, has gained recognition with releases via TikTok and Amuse. Lauren is gearing up for a single release in late February 2024, followed by an EP in early summer.
Voss said, “We have a lot on this year, but it’s all carefully planned, and we are very lucky to be working with some incredible people on both projects.” The anticipation is palpable as Track 88 Management prepares to unveil the musical endeavors they have been developing over the past few years.
