LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Brockwell Park in South London’s Brixton neighborhood will be the new home for both the Lovebox and its sister festival Citadel, starting next year.
The change in venue was prompted by Goldenvoice’s takeover of the two festival’s previous home at Victoria Park for their All Points East festival, which debuts in 2018.
“We’ve been throwing London’s best party in Victoria Park since 2005 and made some incredible memories along the way. Last year 80,000 of you joined us on both days of to help celebrate our 15th birthday. We came, we saw, we conquered,” Lovebox organizers wrote in a social media post announcing the move.
“In the spirit of moving forward – never backwards – we’re taking a step in a new direction in 2018. Stepping south, to be precise. Lovebox plans to cross the river for our 16th chapter to our brand new home in the beautiful Brockwell Park, and you’re all invited to help us throw the housewarming party to end all housewarming parties.”
The Lovebox Festival is set to take place on July 13 & 14, 2018 with a multi-genre lineup while Citadel takes place the next day on July 15th to close out the weekend and will focus on EDM. Lineups for the 2018 editions of the festival have yet to be announced.
