WASHINGTON, DC (CelebrityAccess) – Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe and some more than 20 other artists, authors, actors and producers will be joining forces for a “Protest Kavanaugh” event scheduled for this Thursday (Oct. 4) in Washington, DC.
The gathering, which has been organized by Party Majority PAC and dubbed “Bravery Is Contagious,” is being staged in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, who have accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.
A statement posted to the event’s website reads:
“If there was ever a moment when the voice of the people can come together in concert to change the fate of our nation, this is it. Arm in arm, organized and ready, every child, woman, and man, must take to the streets to protest this nomination. The legitimacy of the nation’s highest court is at stake as is the future of our country.”
