SYNDEY (CelebrityAThere was more bad news for Australian festival fans after organizers announced that the Good Vibrations touring festival would not be taking place in 2012.
In a press release, the festival's CEO Justin Hemmes said that the music festival would be "rested" for the year, laying the blame for the cancelation on increased artist fees, uncertain weather and a "shifting live music market."
First staged in 2004, the festival proved to be a popular attraction for Aussie festival fans but the event drew mixed reviews and tepid attendance in 2011. Other Australian festivals that have been forced to pare back or cancel outright in 2011 included Big Day Out, Homebake and the V Fest.
According to Hemmes, they are currently re-evaluating a 2013 return for Good Vibrations. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
