AUCKLAND, NZ (CelebrityAccess) — Foo Fighters were forced to cancel a planned performance at a charity fundraising concert in Auckland after one of the trucks carrying the band's gear was involved in a serious accident.
The news was announced in a post on The Frontier Touring Company's facebook page, which said:
It is with great regret that we advise that the Foo Fighters charity concert scheduled at the Auckland Town Hall tomorrow night (Friday 20 February, 2015) has been cancelled.
A truck carrying essential band equipment was involved in a serious accident today whilst travelling from Christchurch to Auckland.
Thankfully the driver is expected to be ok.
The post noted that the band's gear was also seriously damaged in the accident, but said that replacement equipment was being flown in ahead of a scheduled show in Auckland on Saturday night.
The canceled concert was intended to support the New Zealand Music Foundation. – Staff Writers
