READING & LEEDS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Festival Republic's twin Reading and Leeds festivals have announced the lineups for the 2010 edition of the events which are set for August 27-29.
Festival Republic has secured the iconic American band Guns N' Roses in an exclusive deal to headline the opening night at Reading and the final night at Leeds.
Other headliners for this year events include Blink-182 (Reading, 8/29, Leeds 8/28) and Arcade Fire (Reading 8/2 and Leeds 8/27.) Additional artists booked for the event include LCD Soundsystem, Weezer, Limp Bizkit, Dizzee Rascal, Modest Mouse, Gogol Bordello, Queens of the Stone Age, Paramore and The Libertines (A potentially exciting booking considering guitarist Pete Doherty's legal woes).
Reading 'officially' debuted in 1971 and Leeds, which launched in 1996, have become a major constellation in the UK summer festival firmament and are produced by Festival Republic, which became part of the Live Nation family in 2005.
