HOB And CCE To Book Sunset Station

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) House of Blues and Clear Channel Entertainment have teamed up to book talent for Sunset Station, a renovated train station in San Antonio.

"We are truly excited about the national recognition that this affiliation brings to Sunset Station," said Sunset Station GM Terri Toennies. "We look forward to the tremendous opportunities that this well known team will bring to us in the concert and entertainment world. Through live music, the train depot will continue to be a place for people of all cultures to gather and create memories for the next 100 years."

According to Toennies, House of Blues is expected to bring a minimum of 50 concerts to Sunset Station annually. The first official HoB concerts will be Al Green on April 30 and Melissa Etheridge, May 2. A full concert schedule will be released once artists and acts are confirmed.

Beginning in late May, the weekly House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch will be in place. "The Sunset Station Gospel Brunch will feature the very best of Gospel Choirs, Quartets, Ensembles and Soloists in the local, national, and international community and industry," said Sylvia St. James, director of the House of Blues Brunch.

"The internationally renowned House of Blues and Clear Channel Entertainment decision to partner with historic Sunset Station will augment the strong brand that San Antonio possesses and will boost our ability to attract visitors to the city, and aid in encouraging longer stays," noted Melvin Tennant, CAE, executive director, San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau." — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
