A truck carrying $1.5 million worth of Kenny Chesney's tour merchandise burst into flames in the early morning hours on April 17 on Interstate 40 outside of Little Rock, Arkansas. The truck was struck by a car that got on the highway using the wrong ramp and driving the wrong way.
Everything was destroyed but the drivers of both vehicles were unhurt.
"I'm just glad no one was hurt," Chesney said. "Everyone's shook up, and it sure reminds you to take nothing for granted. … But the main thing is, even though we lost all the merch, and the Gator we run it around on, everybody's getting returned to their families in one piece." -Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
