LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

After 22 years at the William Morris Agency in Los Angeles, international agent Jorge Pinos, a senior vice president, has decided to leave to open his own full service entertainment company, JEP Entertainment Group. The company will offer both agency and management services.

At the time of his departure Pinos' clientele included Juan Gabriel, Lucero, Thalia, Jaime Camil, Arturo Sandoval, Daisy Fuentes, Carlos Ponce, Patricia Manterola, MDO, Vikki Carr, Jose Feliciano, Alexandre Pires, Jennifer Peña, Obie Bermudez, Sabrina, Christian Castro, Marisela, Akwid, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Cabas, Paul Anka and Leslie Ann Machado.

"Some of the clients that will be coming with me are Juan Gabriel, Lucero, Jaime Camil, Jennifer Peña, for now with more to follow," he told CelebrityAccess.

Pinos was the first agent to book Latin international artists into mainstream American venues and gave major visibility to Latino artists in the United States. He was involved in booking all of WMA's artists in Mexico, Central America, The Caribbean, South America, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Southeast Asia and China.

With his new company, Pinos says he is looking to expand into entertainment's different fields and be able to open up new avenues for his clients, both domestically and internationally.

In addition to bringing such artists as Gloria Estefan, Miami Sound Machine, Julio Iglesias, Shakira, Roberto Carlos, Jose Feliciano, Jon Secada and Jose Luis Rodriguez into the mainstream, Pinos also was involved in booking tours for Diana Ross, The Bee Gees, YES, Maxi Priest, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Blondie and Enrique Iglesias, among many others.

Honored for his accomplishments, Pinos received Billboard magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award as well as Imagen's Vision Award and Prism Award's Unsung Hero of 2001. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
