BERLIN (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation announced that they have launched a new European office with the formation of formed Live Nation Concerts Germany with German concert promoter Marek Lieberberg to promote concerts and festivals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland beginning Jan. 1, 2016.
Under the terms of the deal, Marek Lieberberg will be chief executive officer of Live Nation Concerts Germany and Andre Lieberberg will serve as president. As well, Live Nation's Ticketmaster will handle ticketing for the new German office.
Marek Lieberberg has more than 45 years of experience in concert promotion and creating the leading festivals in Germany. He has worked with Live Nation in the past to promote tours including Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, U2 and Madonna, and on his own has worked with Depeche Mode, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Bublé, Coldplay, Queen and Celine Dion.
Before joining Live Nation, Lieberberg's company was the fifth largest promoter in the world, producing 700 shows and more than $2 million in ticket sales annually.
