LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Tom Cantone, the Senior Vice President of Sports and Entertainment at Mohegan Sun in CT, served as both a guest speaker and a presenter at this year's Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Casino Entertainment Awards in Las Vegas.
In his address, Cantone discussed the success of Mohegan Sun’s entertainment program in three states and the importance of programming entertainment in the overall marketing of a modern casino today in a highly competitive climate.
Cantone emphasized the power of a full scale entertainment program, both for its ability to drive volume for the casino, as well as creating an a positive emotional experience connected to the casino's brand for customers that will help generate return business.
In addition to his address, Cantone presented the award for “Arena of the Year” and “Entertainment Executive of the Year,” both of which, Mohegan Sun had won during G2E's inaugural year. The Casino Entertainment Legend Award went to comedy icon Jerry Lewis. “Casino Entertainer of the Year” went to Penn & Teller.
The 3rd Annual Casino Entertainment Awards were a sold out event, which took place on Sept 30th at the Hard Rock Casino. – Staff Writers
