The Music Managers Forum Canada (MMF) will host a one-day intensive management workshop and cocktail reception in association with Canadian Music Week on March 1 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto sponsored by LiveTourArtists.
The workshop will feature guest music managers from around the world and Canada, including Michael McMartin (Australia–Hoodoo Gurus), Keith Harris (UK–Stevie Wonder), Peter Jenner (UK–The Clash, Billy Bragg), Steve Garvan (US), Michael Bisping (Germany), Susan de Cartier (Canada–Blue Rodeo), Ryhna Thompson (Canada–Kid Koala), Allen Moy (Canada–54-40), Bernie Breen (Canada–The Tragically Hip) and Larry Wanagas (Canada–The Trews). Brian Hetherman is the new president of the MMF.
The workshop (10 am-6 pm) will cover topics such as management basics, managing in the international market place, and a segment on alternative revenue streams for artists with Tom Jackson from Artists Associates.
