(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The historic theater, lately known as The Weekly Warfield in San Francisco will once again be known only as the Warfield.
The name of the landmark San Francisco theater had been changed as part of 3 year advertising deal with San Francsco alternative paper 'The SF Weekly' and Bill Graham Presents. The paper, a subsidiary of New Times Media. Theater owners filed a lawsuit against venue managers BGP, claiming that BGP, a dvision of Live Nation, did not have the right to sell the name concession.
The name change takes effect this month, according to the settlement. BGP will keep its lease until it expires May 2008, an attorney for the building's owners told the San Francsico Chronicle. – CelebrityAccess MediaWire
