(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Eccentric New York pop group Scissor Sisters have been announced as the headliner’s of this years trend-setting V Festival.
The band has topped UK album charts in 2004, and are currently nominated for three Brit Awards, including best international album and best international group. Their wild performance at the 2004 V Festival was recently voted Gig of the Year by a poll of Virgin Radio listeners.
The group is made up of lead siners Jake Shears and Ana Matronic, drummer Paddy Boom, guitarist Del Marquis and bassist Babydaddy.
The group has promised to perform new material during the two-day festival.
Other bands have not yet been announced, but previous acts include Snow Patrol, Jamie Cullum, The Strokes and Dido.
