Weiland Officially Joins Former Gunners in Velvet Revolver

Even though Stone Temple Pilot singer Scott Weiland has recently had legal problems for his May 18 arrest on drug charges, he was officially named as the vocalist for the group composed of former Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. They have chosen the moniker Velvet Revolver; they formerly called themselves The Project. When their debut album will be released is anyone's guess since Weiland needs to complete rehab; however, they can be heard on two new soundtrack albums: a cover of Pink Floyd's "Money" on "The Italian Job" and "Set Me Free" on the forthcoming "The Hulk."
