AC/DC, The Clash, Elvis Costello and the Attractions, The Police and The Righteous
Brothers have been elected to the 2003 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony is
slated for March at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The Clash, Costello and The
Police were enshrined in their first year of eligibility. The Righteous Brothers made
the Hall on their first time on the ballot but could have been nominated 12 years
earlier. AC/DC had been on the ballot three times.
This is the smallest class since 1988 when The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Drifters and The Supremes were inducted.
