CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CelebrityAccess MediaWIre) — CelebrityAccess has learned that Alan Mintz has joined Coran Capshaw's Red Light Management, along with his client, Carly Simon, who has also made the jump.
Alan comes to Red Light Management from Starbucks where he was the Head of Content for Starbucks Entertainment and the head of A&R for its record company, Hear Music. While there, he signed such legendary artists as Paul McCartney, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell as well as newer artists such as Sia.
Prior to his tenure at Starbucks, Alan managed Herbie Hancock and also served as Head of A&R for Columbia Records.
He began his industry career as a music attorney representing many clients including Nirvana, Sheryl Crow, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Alan is also a longtime musician with extensive recording and touring experience. He plays guitar, bass, and the Chapman Stick and his former band, Translator, was signed to Columbia Records.
