BROOKLYN, MI (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After parting ways with Paradise Artists, veteran agent Mark Hyman has re-launched his former company, Ashley Talent International (A.T.I.)
Hyman has long experience in the industry, with more than 35 years as an agent under his belt. He got his start with William Morris, working out of their Manhattan offices. He then moved to Premier, where he was mentored by Frank Barsalona.
He then spent a tenure at Jerry Heller's Heller Fischel Agency in Los Angeles, where the band Journey was his first signing. Hyman then joined Diversified Management in Michigan, where he signed Quiet Riot.
Hyman is also credited by many as being one of the proginetors of the resurgence of 80s style metal rock music in the personal appearances field, with bands such as Quiet Riot, Warrant, Slaughter, Vince Neil, Skid Row and The Rock Never Stops tours (a name that he created). All of these acts were former A.T.I. clients.
Mark's growing roster at the newly reformed A.T.I. includes: Hear Kitty Kitty, Irene Cara, King's X, Krokus, Last Perfect Thing, Logan, Quiet Riot, Rickey Medlocke of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rock Around The World, The Rock Never Stops Tour, Saxon, Stick People, and Ten Years After.
Mark told CelebrityAccess that he will be the principle of the newly reformed company but will be joined by agents Gary "Duke" Coats and Hope Coats with additional announcements for agents expected soon.
"We intend to keep our artists' roster very selective. We will not be a 'commission mill' with an endless list of names of whoever comes through the door.
