Untold Festival Wins Top Honors At European Festival Awards

GRONINGEN NL (CelebrityAccess) — The winners of the 2015 European Festival Awards were announced at a gala held as a part of the annual four-day Eurosonic Noorderslag conference, with the Romanian Untold Festival taking top honors for a major event.

Presented in association with Yourope (the European Festival Association), the awards are intended to celebrate achievement in the European festival industry. The festival awards cover 350 festivals from 50 different European countries, with the winners determined by a combination of public voting and industry juries.

Other winners for the year include Hungary's Telekom Volt Festival, which took the prize for Best Mid-Sized Fest and the Happiness Festival (Germany) which won the award for Best Small Festival. C3 Present's Lollapalooza Berlin won the award for Best New Festival and The Prodigy were recognized as the Headliner of the Year.

Musical performances at the gala included Kovacs (Netherlands) and Carnival Youth (Latvia) who also recieved European Boarder Breaker Awards (EBBA) this year. – Staff Writers
