LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Indie label, publisher, and artist management company Position Music has promoted Jake Versluis to the post of Vice President of A&R and Interactive Media.
In his new role, Versluis will oversee Position’s expansion into the burgeoning world of music licensing in video games, virtual reality products, and esports, seeking placements for the company’s repertoire and clients.
I am happy to announce Jake’s promotion to the position of Vice President of A&R and Interactive Media. He has been a key part of our team for eight years and has the unique role of being both a talented and diversified A&R and creative synch pitching executive. Jake’s passion for games has led to tremendous growth in this area. 2018 grew over 100% and included key placements such as Just Dance 2019 (Stella Mwangi – “Not Your Ordinary”), Sports Party/Nintendo Switch (Animal Island – “Our Style”), FIFA 2019 Trailer (Welshly Arms – “Love of the Game“) and Burnout Paradise Trailer (Dead Posey – “Boogeyman”),” said Position Music founder Tyler Bacon.
Versluis has been a member of the Position Music team since 2011, and has signed and developed a slew of the company’s current songwriting clients and recording artists, including alt/rock writers and artists TWIN XL and Dead Posey.
Versluis also oversees A&R for the company’s Music’s Trailer Music department with composers such as Adam Peters, Danny Cocke, and Joseph William Morgan and in the past 8 years, he’s generated placements across hundreds of national and global television shows, films, advertisements, trailers, and video games.
Established in 1999, Position Music is headquartered in Los Angeles.
