LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Independent music marketing and distribution services company Ingrooves, has today (Sept. 10) announced that it has signed a global distribution deal with Calle Fresa Records.
Based in LA, Calle Fresa is the brainchild of producers/performers Chico Sonido and Ulises “El Licenciado” Lozano, who together have independently helped establish careers for such artists as Ms. Nina and Tomasa del Real. The label is closely associated with L.A. fashion house, Freak City, which has collaborated with the producers for years on the visual aesthetic that embodies the emerging Latin urban/dance scene.
The first single under the new agreement is “Este Reggaeton,” which was released on August 30th, and features Chico Sonido and Filipino star K Rizz, who sings in English, Spanish and Tagalog. Other artists expected to have releases under the deal in the coming months include El Licenciado, Street Boi, Young Voss, and others.
Jesús Naranjo, who oversees Latin Label and Artists Partnerships for Ingrooves said: “Chico and Ulises have built something very special with Calle Fresa and we’re thrilled to be working together with them to build an even bigger audience for their music. ‘Este Reggaeton’ feels poised to break barriers for the genre. It’s the perfect first release under this new deal.”
Sonido added: “We’re excited to get to work with everyone around the world at Ingrooves. K Rizz is a superstar who needs the kind of global footprint that Ingrooves can provide. We know there’s a ton of anticipation for this track and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”
