(CelebrityAccess) — Superstar German DJ and producer Zedd say he’s been “permanently banned” from China after he liked a tweet from the official Twitter account of the animated television series “South Park.”

Zedd, whose real name is Anton Zaslavski, made the claim about the permanent ban in a post to his own social media.

The tweet in question, which marks the long-running series 300th episode, was innocuous enough, but the episode itself portrays China in a bad light.

In the episode, one of the show’s characters travels to China to sell marijuana and is arrested. While in detention, he has a first hand view of the harsh treatment meted out to prisoners and meets a cast of other prisoners that includes both Winnie The Pooh and Piglet.

While that may seem a little non-sequitur, a popular meme associated with the Hong Kong protests has unflatteringly compared Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping to Winnie the Pooh and Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Carrie Lam as his sidekick Piglet.

As the meme became popular, images of Winnie the Pooh have been widely censored in China and media reports say that South Park itself has been removed from the Chinese internet.
